Não obstante estarem as fundações de direito privado inseridas no âmbito da sociedade civil e não no do governo, apresentam características de formalismo em suas estruturas jurídica e financeira, fator que as coloca como entidades de maior potencial para responder de forma eficaz às tarefas do Terceiro Setor, garantindo a credibilidade das instituições e estreitando o relacionamento com o Estado.

Although private law foundations are inserted in the scope of civil society and not that of the government, they have characteristics of formalism in their legal and financial structures, a factor that places them as entities with the greatest potential torespond effectively to the tasks of the Third Sector, guaranteeing the credibility of the institutions and strengthening the relationship with the State.
