O meio ambiente e os recursos naturais vêm concitando uma crescente preocupação, pelas ameaças paralelas que vão sofrendo, tanto pelo modo de vida das sociedades ditas desenvolvidas e do homem convertido em consumidor, como pelas situações de carência de sociedades pobres que não conseguem sobreviver sem o recurso à utilização, ou à destruição mesmo, dos frutos da natureza de que podem dispor sem intermediários. É com este foco que o presente artigo se propõe a levantar o debate sobre os direitos e deveres constitucionais de homens e mulheres quanto ao meio ambiente.

The environment and natural resources have been giving rise to a growing concern for the parallel threats they are suffering, both for the way of life of the so-called developed societies and for mankind that has become a consumer, as well as for the needy situations of poor societies that cannot survive without the use, or even destruction, of the fruits of nature available to them without intermediaries. This is the focus that the present article aims to raise: the debate on the constitutional rights and duties of men and women regarding the environment.
